Tufts University Beelzebubs: 50 Years of Fun Through Song
January 17 - May 27
Remis Sculpture Court
This exhibition tells the story of how Tufts' oldest all-male a cappella group,
founded in the basement of West Hall in 1962, has come to occupy a position of
mainstream popularity, not just in collegiate and contemporary a cappella music,
but in prime-time TV, with its performances on The Sing Off
and Glee, and at the White House Christmas Party.
Curated by Danny Lichtenfeld (Tufts AB 1993; BM, MM New England Conservatory).
Lichtenfeld was the first five-year member of the Beelzebubs and the
group's Music Director when they were awarded first place in the National
Championship of Collegiate A Cappella. In the Remis Sculpture Court.
